PRIVACY POLICY

Medford Youth Athletic Association, Inc. (“MYAA”) is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of users of its website.  The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you, as a visitor to MYAA, what kinds of information we may gather about you when you visit MYAA, how we may use that information, and whether we disclose it to anyone.  This privacy policy applies only to MYAA and not to other companies’ or organizations’ web sites to which we link.  By accessing, browsing or using this Site, or by submitting your personally identifiable information to MYAA, or by allowing your child to do any of the above, you signify your agreement to the terms and conditions of this Policy.

If MYAA decides to change any of its privacy policies, the changes will be posted here in this area so that you will always know the information we gather, how we might use that information and to whom we will disclose it.  We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of this policy at any time.  Please make sure to check this page periodically for any changes.

Information About All MYAA Visitors

MYAA collects certain information from and about its users in three ways – directly from the user, from our Web server logs, and with cookies.

User-Supplied Information:  When you sign up for a service, we may ask for your name, e-mail address, and some other personal information, as well as certain payment information.  At times, we may also ask you to complete surveys or questionnaires about your use of this Site.

Server Log Information:  When you visit an Internet Web site, you disclose certain information about yourself, such as your Internet [Protocol] (IP) address, the time of your visit, and the referring location (e.g., the site or page that offered a link to a website page), if any.  Like many other sites, MYAA records this basic information about visits to its Site.

Cookies:  In order to offer and provide customized, personal service, MYAA may use cookies to store and help track your information.  These cookies are relatively standard and do not collect personally identifiable information.  Nor do we combine information collected through cookies with other personally identifiable information to tell us who you are or even what your username or e-mail address is.  If for any reason you wish not to take advantage of cookies, you may have your browser not accept them, although this may disable or render unsuable some of the features of the MYAA website.

You should remember that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online, such as on message boards, through e-mail, discussion groups, or in chat areas, your information can be collected and used by others.  Although MYAA tries to protect your personal information, MYAA cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.  You are solely responsibility of maintaining the secrecy of any passwords you set up and/or any account information.

THIS SITE IS NOT INTENDED FOR USE BY MINORS. ACCORDINGLY, MYAA DOES NOT KNOWINGLY COLLECT, REQUEST, USE OR DISCLOSE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM MINORS, AND MINORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE PURCHASES OR PARTICIPATE IN CONTESTS ON THIS SITE.  MINORS SHOULD NOT POST ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIS SITE.

In the event that a minor supplies personal information in violation of this Policy, MYAA will comply with applicable law regarding collection of information from children, including the United States’ Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).  This and other applicable laws have special requirements regarding notification to parents and legal guardians (either of which is called a “parent” in this policy) of what personal information is being collected from their child and how that information is used or shared.  Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in their children’s online activities and monitor their children’s use of emails and engagement in other electronic communication.  If you are a resident in the United States we encourage you to visit www.ftc.gov/kidzprivacy for more information about COPPA and children’s privacy.

In the event that your child should contact us by e-mail using our “Contact Us” page, your child may supply us with his or her name and/or e-mail address (which is personal information).  We will only use this personal information to respond to your child’s specific request or question, after which the personal information will be deleted.
