WELCOME TO OUR 2025 MEDFORD RENEGADE CHEERLEADING SEASON
REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

SIDELINE CHEER:
There will be weekday practices twice a week and they will start in August. This will drop down to 1 day a week when school starts.Game schedule is usually not released until a week before games start. All practices days are TBD until coaches are named, however they will be during the week and will start at approximately around 5pm. Age groups may get shifted depending on registration numbers, however, individual grade levels will stay together.  If there is a large waitlist, we may offer those to come off the waitlist and form a second squad that cheers for the JV team on Sundays.

-Kindergarten- Mini’s Football Cheerleading: This squad will support our tackle football program at local home and away games. They will practice once per week in the fall. 

-1st grade- Tiny's Football Cheerleading: This squad will cheer for our tackle football program at home & away games. They will practice once a week in the fall plus cheer football games on Saturdays. 

-2nd grade-Little’s Football Cheerleading: This squad will cheer for our tackle football program at home & away games. They will practice once a week in the fall plus cheer football games on Saturdays. 


 3-5 Grade- Jr’s Football Cheerleading Squad: This squad will support our tackle football program at home & away games. They will practice once a week in the fall plus football games on Saturdays. 


-6th-8th grade-Sr. Football Cheerleading Squad: This squad will support our tackle football program at home and away games. They will practice once a week in the fall plus football games on Saturdays. 


COMPETITION CHEER:
Evaluations will be held on August 4th this year to determine skill level of each age level squad for more accurate choreography. Choreography Camp will be the week of August 25-28th. This is mandatory as each squad will be learning their entire choreography.
Age groups may get shifted depending on registration numbers, however, individual grade levels will stay together. 

K-2- Mini’s Intro to Competition Cheerleading: This squad will have instruction from our partner Magic Athletics as well as our coaches. They will learn the foundational skills of cheerleading and learn a choreographed routine. They will perform this routine at a showcase for their family and friends at the end of the season and compete in 1 competition in December.  They will practice 2x per week, and be required to attend Choreo Camp. 

-3rd-5th grade-Jr. Competition Cheerleading Squad: This squad will compete in a series of local competitions. Choreography practice will be held twice a week starting in August and continue through December. Practice attendance will be taken. There will be 2 allowed excused absences for practices per cheerleader.  More than 2 will have to be discussed with the coach (we understand family vacations and sicknesses happen). Practice location jumps between local and at Magic Athletics gym in Cherry Hill. Competitions typically run late fall through the middle of December. Competitions fall on a weekends and attendance is required. The goal is to attend 3 competitions as well as our Showcase.

Optional warmup suit - Order site will be open after registration has closed 

ALL White cheer sneakers (any brand can be purchased)
Navy Boy Shorts for Sideline Cheer Only
Competition Uniform


 

Competition uniforms  - Competition uniforms may be purchased used from a previous cheerleader (recommended resale price range $40-80) or purchased new. Price range per squad is $230 (Jr/Sr squad) and $50 (K-2 Dev squad). A top or bottom can be purchased individually. Cheerleaders will own and keep their competition uniform.

K-2 Competing Littles: Competition Uniform will be $50 and cheerleaders will own and keep their competition uniform.

Sideline uniforms will not need to be purchased and will be turned in at the end of the season.
Navy dance or boy shorts to wear under football uniform (any brand can be purchased)
Please return uniform if you have not yet!!! 
If you have not turned in your uniform yet, you will not get another one. In order to keep the cost low for sideline cheer, we need the uniforms returned. Thank you!


Key Dates:

**Cheer Camp : Registration will open on June 1st until July 10th
Cost: $15 per cheerleader

Cheer Camp- August 9th & 10th / 9am-12pm

MANDATORY UNIFORM FITTING at Hartford Crossing Field House- June 16th & 17th (5-8pm) 
**Come during the recommended time slot based on your athlete's last name**

5-6pm A-G
6-7pm H-O
7-8pm P-Z

**Cheerleading camp will be held at the Shoprite Hartford Crossing Field. This will be where they learn their cheers/chants for the football games, the Hello cheer, sideline dances, work on stunting, jumps and meet some coaches as well as teammates. This camp is not mandatory, however; we highly encourage those that are new to our program.
EVERYONE MUST REGISTER IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND CAMP. You can register at MYAA.net in order to 
participate.


VOLUNTEERING:
We are looking for volunteers to come and help continue building this program into the best it can be. We are always looking for people to join the Board or have a special skill we'd love for you to reach out. If any of this sounds like something you might be interested in please reach out via email!
