Personal Property and Jewelry Policy
The Medford Youth Athletic Association (MYAA) is not responsible for personal property that is lost, stolen, or left unattended at any location where MYAA programs, games, practices, meetings, or events occur.
This includes, but is not limited to:
· Township parks and recreational facilities
· School fields, gyms, and buildings
· Tournament locations and off-site facilities
· MYAA events, meetings, or functions
Participants, parents, coaches, and spectators are solely responsible for the care and security of their personal belongings, including equipment, clothing, electronics, bags, and other valuables.
MYAA does not provide insurance coverage or reimbursement for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
Items that are found may be temporarily held by a coach, commissioner, or volunteer if reasonably possible; however, MYAA does not guarantee storage or recovery of any items.
Watches and Jewelry
For safety reasons, players may not wear watches, jewelry, or similar items during games or practices. This includes, but is not limited to:
· Watches or smart watches
· Necklaces
· Bracelets
· Rings
· Earrings or other jewelry deemed unsafe by a coach or official
If a player arrives wearing such an item, the player will be required to remove it before participating.
If the player requests that the item be temporarily held by a coach, commissioner, or volunteer during the activity, the item will be held only as a courtesy. MYAA and its volunteers are not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any such items, as these items are not permitted to be worn during participation.
Participants and families are strongly encouraged not to bring valuable items to practices or games.
