MYAA Cheer

Welcome to the 2016 Season of Medford Renegades Cheerleading!

MYAA Cheer is pleased to offer two options for the 2016 Season

Please join us for an interest meeting on Thursday June 9 from 7:00-8:30 pm at Diamond Athletics – 137 Eayrestown Rd. Southampton, NJ.  Here you will have an opportunity to meet and talk to coaches as well as ask any questions regarding our program for 2016!

Option #1:  Football Only Cheerleading – This option is for our kindergarten cheerleaders (Grade K in September 2016) as well as anyone who does not want to participate in competition.  These cheerleaders will practice one night a week and will cheer at all football home and away games as well as playoff games when applicable.

Option #2:  Football & Competitive Cheerleading – This option is for cheerleaders who would like to cheer for football games AND would like to compete at a recreational level.  Competition Cheerleaders will practice a minimum of two nights a week, cheer at all football home and away games as well as playoff games when applicable.  They will also participate in 3 competitions.  Two competition squads will be created – Grades 1 – 4 (Junior Team) and Grades 5 – 8 (Senior Team).  Cheerleaders do not need to try out or qualify for the competition squad; however, they will be required to attend all practices and competitions.

Competition cheerleaders will also receive:

·        Professionally choreographed competition routines

·        15 Hours of professional instruction time for competition routine

·        Discounted tumbling clinics (optional)

·        Dedicated day to learn all competition choreography

Summer Camp:

One week of summer camp will be mandatory for any first year cheerleaders.  Camp is optional for any cheerleaders who would like to review chants, movements and stunting basics.  We highly encourage those cheerleaders with less years of experience to join us at camp.  Each week of camp will be the same so cheerleaders can pick one week or the other OR they are more than welcome to attend both weeks.  Camp is FREE with registration!
